Grades and Grading Scale

Year Grades

Each Year Grade will be calculated as the mean of both semester grade’s numerical value. For example, a First Semester grade (A) and a Second Semester grade of (B+) would yield an Overall Grade (A-).

• 연간 성적은 두 학기 성적의 숫자 값 평균으로 계산된다.
• 예를 들어, 첫 번째 학기 성적이 (A)이고 두 번째 학기 성적이 (B+)인 경우, 전체 성적은 (A-)가 된다.

Letter Grades, Percentages, and Grade Point Calculation

For the purpose of computing grade point average, letter grades will be assigned the following point values:

A student’s Grade Point Average (GPA) consists of the grades for all the subjects as follows: English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, World Language, Fine Art, Physical & Health Education, and Electives.

학점 평균은 영어, 수학, 과학, 사회 과목, 세계 언어, 미술, 체육 및 헬스, 선택 과목을 모두 포함한다.

CDS uses PowerSchool as the platform to record, monitor, and share academic grades and attendance data. Students have access to PowerSchool, and are expected to keep track of their attendance, grades, and missing assignments throughout the academic year. Students should not attempt to access the PowerSchool data and information of anyone other than themselves.

• CDS는 PowerSchool을 학업 성적과 출석 데이터를 기록, 모니터링, 공유하는 플랫폼으로 사용한다.
• 학생들은 PowerSchool에 접속할 수 있으며, 학기 내내 출석, 성적, 미완료 과제를 확인해야 한다.
• 학생들은 자신 이외의 다른 사람의 PowerSchool 데이터와 정보를 접근해서는 안된다.

The grade for each standard is calculated from the most recent three summative assessments provided for that standard during each semester. Each attempt will hold equal weighting in PowerSchool (33.33%). By averaging these three pieces of evidence, we arrive at the standard proficiency rating, which also forms the basis for the overall grade for the semester.

• 각 표준에 대한 성적은 학기마다 해당 표준에 대해 제공된 최근 세 개의 총괄 평가에서 계산된다.
• 각각은 PowerSchool에서 동일한 가중치(33.33%)를 가진다.
• 이 세 가지 증거를 평균내어 표준 숙달 등급을 산출하고, 이는 학기 전체 성적의 기초가 된다.

In certain rare cases, the evaluation process may take into account evidence from attempts preceding the most recent three. Also, in exceptional circumstances, if any evidence is deemed inaccurate, it will be promptly discarded. The decision to use prior evidence, or exclude inaccurate evidence will be made through a collaborative process involving the professional judgment of the teacher, department head, division administrator, and the Director of Academics.

• 드문 경우에는 가장 최근 세 가지 이전의 시도의 증거를 평가 과정에 포함시킬 수 있습니다.
• 예외적인 상황에서는 부정확한 증거는 신속히 배제됩니다.
• 이전 증거를 사용할지, 부정확한 증거를 제외할지의 결정은 교사, 학과장, 부문 관리자, 학업 책임자의 전문 판단에 의한 협력 과정을 통해 이루어집니다.
